Update introduces 7.1.4 support via Dante
Trinnov have just announced a software update that will allow Nova units with eight licensed Optimizer channels to automatically unlocks up to 12 Optimized channels when operating in a new Immersive mode. With the update installed, users with a Nova 6 license will only need one additional OPT2-Nova to upgrade their unit to a Nova 12.
Immersive Mode
- Supports monitoring configurations up to 7.1.4.
- Dante audio inputs.
- Maximum sample rate of 48kHz.
- One speaker set is available in immersive mode.
- A dedicated immersive preset must be created using the Nova Wizard.
- The Nova does not decode Dolby Atmos. It optimises the discrete channels coming from the renderer or DAW via Dante.
Other Improvements
As well as adding immersive support, Trinnov have also extended the Nova’s standard monitoring mode from six to eight optimised channels, and introduced the following improvements:
- New Dante and internal clock management with more predictable behaviour
- Automatic Bass Management recompute between speaker sets.
- Power control (reboot/shutdown), including La Remote support.
- Auto-start after power restoration.
- Calibration graphs directly accessible from the Wizard.
- Improved Target Curve editing with 0.1dB keyboard adjustments.
- Numerous bug fixes and overall performance improvements.
