Two notes unveil Genome 2.0

Modelling suite gains improved captures, iOS support & more

Two notes Audio Engineering Genome 2 amp effects cabinet simulation capture software iPad compatibility

Two notes Audio Engineering have just announced the launch of Genome 2.0, a significant update that brings a wealth of new features to their all-in-one amp, cabinet and effects emulation software suite.

With the release of the latest software, the popular system breaks away from desktop computers for the first time, introducing a new iOS version that takes full advantage of the iPad’s touch capabilities. Two notes are keen to point out that the App variant isn’t a packed-down ‘mobile version’ of the full software, but rather a no-compromise port that boasts all of the same power and functionality as its desktop sibling.

Another significant part of the Genome 2.0 launch is Two notes Capture Studio, a free, standalone capture application that can be used to bring real-world gear into the Genome ecosystem. It’s capable of creating static NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) captures for the company’s Codex engine, but also supports the creation of all-new multi-parametric AmpNet models for the new Paradex component — a move which is said to introduce a new level of realism and control to amplifier capture. Also included in the release is a selection of new TSM-Ai amplifiers, which deliver everything from pristine-sounding, high-headroom clean sounds to extreme modern high-gain tones.

What’s New?

  • AmpNet Capture Technology Compatibility: Delivers multi-parametric, control-aware amplifier modelling that goes beyond static snapshots via an all-new Paradex component.
  • Genome Intro: A free entry point on desktop and iOS, offering a complete rig-building environment from day one.
  • iPad Compatibility: Brings the full Genome experience to a touch-first, mobile workflow.
  • Global Transpose: Enables real-time pitch control across an entire rig.
  • Expanded TSM-Ai Amplifier Range: Significantly broadens the platform’s tonal foundation.

“Since day one, Genome has moved fast — each release pushing the boundaries of what the platform can be. With 2.0, we’re not just continuing that momentum, we’re redefining it. This is a new line in the sand. We’ve taken the full Genome experience beyond the desktop, bringing it to the iPad with zero compromise, while introducing Global Transpose to give players real-time control across their entire rig. At the same time, we’re expanding the platform’s tonal foundation with a new generation of TSM-Ai amplifiers, delivering more range, more depth and more sonic flexibility than ever before. In partnership with Artera DSP, AmpNet sets a new benchmark for capture technology — multi-parametric, control-aware modelling that goes far beyond static snapshots. And with the introduction of Genome Intro, we’re removing barriers entirely, giving anyone immediate access to start building and shaping their own rigs. Genome 2.0 is about innovation, effortless control and precision — putting a truly uncompromised, next-generation rig-building experience into the hands of every player, wherever they are.” - Guillaume Pille, CEO, Two notes Audio Engineering
