Launched in 2025, CEDAR Audio’s Icons range was created with the aim of bringing the company’s renowned restoration tools to a wider audience. It includes plug-ins aimed at both live sound/broadcast and music production, and the latest release falls into the former category.
Voxis is a low-latency (sub-10ms) voice isolator that has been optimised for live environments where engineers have to contend with troublesome background noise — conferences, music concerts and live sports events, and so on. It is based on CEDAR's latest advances in deep neural networks, which are said to be able to recognise and separate human speech and vocals from unwanted sounds with a level of clarity that would have been unachievable a few years ago. It features a simple GUI that allows noise-reduction to be applied across three bands (Low, Mid and High), while a Voice control makes it possible to boost isolated voice signals for additional clarity.

Voxis is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or later, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and above. VST23, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
