Zynaptiq introduce Loud & Wide

Two new plug-ins launch alongside updated bundles

Zynaptiq Master III Zap IV Bundle Loud Wide plug-ins

Zynaptiq have just announced the launch of two new plug-ins, alongside new and improved versions of two of their software bundles.

Loud

The first of the new arrivals draws on the technologies used in Zynaptiq’s Intensity 2, Punch and Balance plug-ins, and combines them with a feed-back multiband limiter. As its name suggests, the plug-in’s main aim is to increase perceived loudness, and it aims to make things as simple as possible with just a few key controls. It features Clean and Warm operating modes along with a Tone and Mix parameters, and helpfully offers automatic gain compensation.

Key Features

  • Combines the engines of Intensity 2, Punch, and Balance with a multiband limiter and saturation.
  • Single processing stage for maximum quality and minimum resource use.
  • Dual algorithm configurations: Clean and Warm.
  • Tone control adaptively adjusts frequency response.
  • Level-compensated monitoring functionality (AGC).
  • Support for up to 16 channels for immersive audio.
  • 64-bit internal processing
  • Streamlined, fully vectorised GUI with zoom up to 200%.

Wide

Wide then tackles stereo image widening and mono-to-stereo upmixing, and is capable of retaining 100% mono compatibility if required. It includes four algorithms: three stereo-to-stereo and one mono-to-stereo, all of which are based on Zynaptic’s patented sample-accurate spectral processing technology. The company say that the plug-in avoids nearly all of the common issues and artefacts associated with traditional widening processors, and that the mono-to-stereo upmix algorithm will be welcome among music, TV, film and game audio professionals alike.

Key Features

  • Stereo-to-stereo image widening and mono-to-stereo upmixing plug-in.
  • Four unique algorithms: three stereo-to-stereo and one mono-to-stereo.
  • Zynaptiq-style BIAS/Hover-Menu based frequency-dependent operation.
  • Broadband and frequency-dependent fold-down to mono.
  • 64-bit internal processing.
  • Streamlined, fully vectorised GUI with zoom up to 200%.
