Recommendations for DAW with built-in drums

Postby Atmospherium » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:54 pm

Is there a DAW that comes with a drum rack? I don't know the correct terminology for it, so allow a layman to explain the sort of thing I want. I want to programme the drums by clicking and dropping the beats in the right places in the left-right rolling 'piano roll' grid.

Hope that makes sense! Thanks

All DAWs come with some sort of drum grid view. Some also have a step sequencer view such as Ableton, Reason and Sonar- i use Sonar and always use the Step Sequencer to programme drums gives you an overview.
for comparison, here's how to use the Drum Map in Cubase
