Arturia unveil DrumBrute

New analogue drum machine & sequencer looks like great value

Arturia add to their enormously popular Brute line of synths with a brand new analogue drum machine and sequencer, DrumBrute.

The DrumBrute contains 17 analogue drum & percussion instruments (two kicks, snare, clap, open & closed hats, high & low toms and conga, maracas, rimshot, clave, tambourine, zap, cymbal, and even a reverse cymbal).

The output of the DrumBrute has the same highly-regarded, two-mode Steiner-Parker filter as its siblings, and every instrument has multiple tweakable parameters — and all of them accessible without getting stuck in menus.

The DrumBrute contains 64 sequences, each of which can be up to 64 steps in length, and can be chained together in a song mode. For going off grid, it features a natural Swing feature, Randomness control, Step Repeat, Roller and Looper functions.

With studio-centric connectivity — dedicated audio outputs for each instrument channel, 3.5mm and 1/4-inch headphone outs, MIDI interfacing for controlling your DAW, and the ability to interface with modular gear —  the DrumBrute looks like a formidable instrument, especially when you consider it’s priced at 449€ / $499.

The DrumBrute will be available in November, and we can't wait to get our hands on one. Here's their official video:
