Loop 2016 programme announced

Ticket registration open until July 20

The first program details have been announced for the 2016 Loop summit for music makers — taking place across three days and nights from November 4-6.

The summit, launched by Ableton in 2015, is a platform for music makers to meet, be inspired and learn from each other. This year’s Loop will bring together around 900 attendees at Berlin’s historic Funkhaus.

Confirmed so far to take part in a variety of talks, presentations, performances, intimate studio sessions, hands-on workshops and much more are:

Legendary Jamaican music producer/inventor Lee 'Scratch' PerryLee 'Scratch' Perry, Suzanne Ciani, Moritz von Oswald, Jazzy Jeff, Morton Subotnick, Chagall, Daedelus, Sougwen Chung, Georgia Tech’s Robotic Musicianship Group, Deantoni Parks, Jana Winderen, Chino Amobi and many more.

Expanding on the themes established at last year’s inaugural summit, Loop’s three day program focuses on the interlinked themes of music, technology and creative practice.

Vocalist, songwriter and electronic producer ChagallRegistration for Loop tickets is open until July 20th. Because of limited capacity at Loop, the option to purchase a ticket will be allocated via a lottery. Regular price tickets are 300 EUR, or 150 EUR for full time students. Since not everyone making music can afford these prices, and in order to include as many differing perspectives as possible, we are offering a limited number of subsidized tickets at a reduced price for Loop 2016.
