Measurement mic for iOS devices

Beijing‑based microphone makers MicW have announced a new model designed to work with Apple’s iOS devices, called the i436. Interestingly for such an appliance, it apparently conforms to both IEC and ANSI measurement‑mic standards, and has a flat <strong>MicW i436</strong> frequency response and omnidirectional pickup pattern. As such, it appears to be well suited for use with the many of the metering and audio‑analysis apps available for the iPod, iPhone and iPad touchscreen devices, though MicW say that it will also come in handy for musicians wanting to record practices and performances.
