AKG Perception 120 USB launched

Mic incorporating USB interface

AKG have just released their first USB-equipped microphone, the Perception 120 USB. Essentially the same microphone as the non-USB Perception 120 (which we reviewed back in February 2009), this latest one incorporates a 24-bit Windows (from XP to Windows 7) and OS X-compatible audio interface, of which AKG say: “Instead of usual one-chip-solutions, the high-quality analogue-to-digital converter provides convincing sound quality and low noise.”AKG Perception 120 USB

Aimed at podcasters, voiceover artists and recordists, as well as musicians, the mic ships with a tripod table stand, a swivel mount and USB lead, and can be bought for £135 including VAT.
