Musikmesse 2013: Eve Audio SC and TS ranges (Video)

Four-way active monitors and subwoofers

The aptly-named Eve Audio was established in 2010 by the former CEO and co-founder of Adam Audio. Since the company was launched, Eve Audio have produced an impressive range of monitors, including the SC208 that we reviewed in October 2012. The German company expanded its range at Musikmesse with the launch of two new 4-way SC, or Silver Cone, designs.

The SC407 and SC408 each employ a ribbon tweeter, a four-inch mid-range driver and two larger LF drivers. The seven and eight in the model names, of course denoting the size of the LF drivers, in inches.

When it comes to the subwoofers, there are four models available (TS107, TS108, TS110 and TS112), each with a name indicating the inch-size of the driver used. These employ a passive radiator design which Eve claim produces a more controlled bass output than a ported design. They are also remote controlled so allow positioning anywhere in your listening room. We caught up with Eve Audio at Musikmesse to find out more and get a closer look.
