Blue Cat's PatchWork 1.3 allows AU & VST hosting

New version supports wider range of plug-ins

Blue Cat Audio's PatchWork plug-in is a universal plug-ins patchbay that can host up to 64 other plug-ins in a single instance. This makes it possible to create long effects chains and also allows up to eight parallel chains to be created that can be enabled independently. This is especially useful for switching between pre-defined effects chains without having to create several buses.

The big difference with version 1.3 is the addition of Audio Unit plug-ins on top of compatibility with VSTs for Mac users. Copy/paste enhancements simplify moving plug-ins in the signal chain or between applications. Meanwhile, several compatibility and performance improvements have also been included.

The update is free for existing customers and is available for download from the same page as the initial purchase. Demo versions are also available for download on www.bluecataudio.com, in VST, RTAS, AAX, Audio Unit and DirectX formats, for both Mac and PC (32 and 64-bit).

It's available now from the Blue Cat Audio website for €59 EUR or $79 before VAT.
