Apogee introduce Symphony I/O MkII

Thunderbolt, PT HD and Soundgrid options coming

Apogee Electronics will be introducing a second generation of their flagship audio interface, Symphony I/O Mk II at this week’s NAMM show. Symphony I/O Mk II is a multi-channel audio interface featuring Apogee’s latest AD/DA conversion, modular I/O (up to 32 inputs and outputs), intuitive touchscreen display and optional world-class microphone preamps. The new Symphony I/O Mk II comes with direct connectivity to one of three different platforms — Thunderbolt, Pro Tools HD or Waves SoundGrid network.

Since its release in 2010, the first generation Symphony I/O has found a home with industry luminaries such as Bob Ludwig, Spike Stent, Bob Clearmountain, Dave Tozer and Nathan Chapman.

The new Symphony I/O MkII is still compatible with original Symphony I/O modules, and offers low latency performance of 1.35ms  with Thunderbolt and Logic Pro X. The Thunderbolt version is available now, while the Pro Tools HD version will arrive in the spring, and the Soundgrid version will become available later this year.
