Heads up that the VST version is causing Cubase to crash for me.
AU version in Logic seems fine.
I have reported this and submitted crash logs, so a fix should be soon!

Thanks for the info Dave - Christian at DDMF is pretty pro-active on releasing updates when bugs are found, so I'm also expecting to have an Elf-endorsed DimD plug-in in due course ;)

The PITA edition is out! 8-)
Just paid another visit to the DDMF.EU website, and version 1.3.2 is now available for download. According to my listening tests, this is the first one that actually makes the Elf's hyper-wide 'New World - Voices.wav' test file sound even wider on Mode 2.
I knew it wouldn't take Christian long ;)
(No mention of the Cubase bug being fixed Dave.P, but it might be worth you trying 1.3.2 anyway, just in case)

That's it!
I doubt that I could now reliably tell one from the other. For completeness, here is a comparison of the 1.3.2 plug-in version and my real DimD using my 'New World' (a track from the next album!) vocal pad example:
Real DimD: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ykgpxrdrnre7l2/New%20World%20-%20DimD.wav?dl=0
ERS Plug 1.3.2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q3h8kfd15yxf7u9/New%20World%20-%20ERS.wav?dl=0
These are both on preset 2 (unedited), with the plug-in set to to 4x oversampling.

Yay!! 8-)
Judging by the speed at which Christian has been responding to comments/bug reports, I doubt that it will be long before he implements the further ERS improvements to realism that previously went off half-cocked, and cures Dave.P's Cubase.
I've now used the DimD in a track for 'mono to wide without swirlies' duty, and it worked beautifully.

Re: ERS Dimension D plug-in: 50% via DDMF if you're quick!!
Hi again,
One point I've noticed and am still exploring - with some test signals I'm hearing some minute yet audible 'warbly' artefacts that increase progressively as you set oversampling above 1x, so I'm sticking with 1x until I work out what's going on.
I've just created an audio file demonstrating this. It contains (in sequence):
1. 993Hz sinewave test tone @-18dB
2. Same with ERS DimD Mode2, oversampling 1x
3. Same with ERS DimD Mode2, oversampling 4x
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xyido1mmd8rou ... x.wav?dl=0
I doubt that you'd hear the 4x anomalies with a normal music signal, but I've reported it to Christian at DDMF anyway for his info.

Still no luck with the crash on Cubase.
Tried Studio One as well, the AU loaded but the VST caused the same issues.
Log files and reports are off to Christian again so it will work dammit!
