Sound On Sound prides itself on providing a useful set of discussion forums and welcomes all newcomers here. Members are very friendly and welcoming, so don't be shy.
There isn't a dedicated 'noobs/newbies' forum -- just jump right in!
The moderators and regulars are on hand to answer your queries and there is no such thing as a dumb question, so please never feel embarrassed to post. You never get anywhere in life if you don't ask questions.
If you just want to chew the fat, talk about non-music/audio stuff, and chill, once you've registered on the site you can see the Musicians' Lounge topics, and join in or browse.
For technical questions or advice, we offer a range of sub-forums (see Forum Index page) so just pick whichever seems the most suitable one and start posting or replying. It's a genuine community with members from all sorts of backgrounds, with all sorts of knowledge and skill levels, but most importantly, everyone is here to learn and help each other out.
Please Note: if you are a new registrant, your first 3 posts will be put in a queue for approval by the Moderators. We have to do this to prevent spammers. But posts are approved all the time and once you have had 3 posts approved, your next posts appear automatically with no vetting.
