Re: Pedal of the week.
I bought a B9 after a demo in a shop, when I finally got to trying it properly I realised that I don't have the skills to make it work for me so I sold it on. The sounds are fantastic but in a three piece band I was trying to spread myself too thin... For the few things I might use it on I was/am better off using a looper and my Miniak keyboard.

Interesting. I was in a three piece at the time and bought it to fatten myself out.Sam Spoons wrote:The sounds are fantastic but in a three piece band I was trying to spread myself too thin...

Distortion into distortion into distortion !
I can’t figure out why you would put pedals on the floor when there are knobs that need to be turned, except wah, of course.

It's not a bad bit of kit, not the most exciting thing on the planet but to give it credit it's done exactly what I wanted from it. I was in the middle of building (and still gathering parts for) a rack effects rig and then all of a sudden a band situation changed and I'd got some gigs on the electric guitar coming up, and there was no way I'd have my rig built in time. I only wanted a bit of drive, a basic delay and reverb and the Soulmate was well priced at the time and seemed a better option that buying separate pedals for everything.
I’ve got a T Rex Replay Box, it’s the same, very boring, and IMO well over priced.
But, it fitted the bill, a clean, no nonsense "straight" stereo delay, so I can’t complain, great for drum box syncopation without fuss. I can’t sell it because the way it reacts to extreme feedback settings has to be heard to be believed, it’s worth it for that alone.
The Eventide H9? What? It’s not a pedal or software or a rack, it’s never appealed to me, it’s neither one thing nor the other.

Of course. For a small service charge we can convert them to Canadian dollars which are worth, hmmmm today. But you will feel rich because of the huge stack of notes in your pocket
