Microlab is Arturia's latest budget keyboard controller, and it looks quite a bargain for composers on the move. For 79 Euros$79 you get a 25-note, portable keyboard with a protective rubber surround in a choice of blue, black or the orange shown above. The keyboard, which Arturia apparently designed with plane and train tables in mind, sports Octave, Hold and MIDI Channel select buttons, mod and pitch-bend strips and comes with some decent software: the eight-track version of Bitwig Studio, a Steinway virtual piano, and Analog Lab Lite (ie. 600 synth presets from Arturia's V Collection of classic keyboard sounds). Not to be sniffed at!
