The Focusrite Group have recently been launching products at both ends of the pro audio market. As Focusrite, they debuted an updated version of the classic eight-channel ISA828 mic pre earlier this year. The revised version (shown above) has a new PSU and a Dante/AES/ADAT digital interface option for use in audio‑over‑IP networks — see the interview we conducted at the Winter NAMM show below.

The ISA828 MkII will retail for £2499.99$2699.99, the ADN8 card for £565$659.99.

At the same time, the Group’s entry-level software company, Ampify, announced the beta programme for their new PC/Mac sample-based music creation application, Ampify Studio (shown above). The app is available entirely for free and is supplied with nine sound packs to get you started.
