More details have been announced about the ‘Stage To Studio: Recording A Live Band’ seminar, which takes place on September 15/16th at the PLASA show at London's Olympia. The event is a collaboration between Sound On Sound and Headliner magazines, aimed at helping attendees to make better live recordings. As noted in last month’s SOS, the seminar will be hosted by a pro engineer who will offer a unique insight into the decision-making processes involved, including mic choices, placements and mix decisions, with DAW moves visible on a big screen above the stage throughout the live band recording and mixing process.

Two different artists will be performing for the recordings: on Sunday, the three-piece line-up behind Effie (pictured above), the NME’s ‘Emerging Artist 2018’, and on Monday the current line-up of former Carnabys frontman VC Pines (below), as heard in the singles ‘Garden Of The Year’ and ‘Vixen’.
