SynthFest UK — Fonik stands go modular!

Bradford-based studio furniture builders introduce modular studio desk

Fonik were founded in Bradford, West Yorkshire in 2016 by Alex Clarke, DJ and (during the daytime) a joiner and shopfitter. Alex had had enough of trying to fit his DJ and production equipment onto generic home furniture and decided to manufacture bespoke stands that would keep his equipment and cables tidy and improve productivity. The company has done very well with its small-scale stands for equipment like the Korg Volcas, Ableton Maschine, the Roland Boutique range, Native Instruments DJ controllers and numerous Elektron desktop modules, and has won various local and national small business awards. At Sheffield's SynthFest UK, they were exhibiting their new flatpack stand range and also a new, larger-scale modular studio desk — as you can see in our video interview with Fonik's Mark Smith above!
