Spain’s Heritage Audio have announced updates to their robustly built OST10 (above) and OST4 enclosures for 500-series processing modules, which accommodate up to four and 10 500-series or ‘Lunchbox’-format modules respectively. The version 2 OSTs have beefed-up per‑slot PSUs designed to ensure that juice continues to be supplied uninterrupted to even the most power‑hungry Class‑A or valve-based modules, without affecting any of the others in the enclosure. There’s also a new Link feature which allows you to internally route the output of a module to the input of the next without having to resort to cables. The v2 OST4 (below) and OST10 enclosures are already shipping, respectively retailing at around £360 and £800 in the UK$349 and $799 in the US.
The new enclosures followed hot on the heels of the recent announcement of a new Elite series processor: the transformer-coupled diode‑bridge HA609A compressor/limiter (below). Shipping now, the two‑channel, discrete-topology Class-A HA609A (above) can be used as a channel‑matched stereo bus compressor (the diode-bridge design results in fast attack times, making it suited to processing rhythm tracks) or on two mono sources simultaneously. It retails for around £1600 in the UK$1799.
