Enter now for your chance to win a Ferrofish Pulse 16 A-D/D-A Converter, worth £1059!
The Pulse 16 is a high-quality 19" rackmount A-D and D-A converter from German pro audio manufacturers Ferrofish, designed for expanding professional recording studio and live-sound setups with additional, high-quality analogue I/O.
The Pulse 16 can be used to expand anything with ADAT digital ports: from audio interfaces and mixing consoles to synthesizers and hardware effects. And with its dual ADAT I/O pairs, it can convert to a full 16 analogue outputs, facilitating Dolby Atmos monitoring up to 9.1.6 speakers.
Its 16 analogue inputs and 16 analogue outputs are presented on balanced TRS connections, supporting line levels up to +20dBu, individually adjustable in 1dB steps for precise level-setting.
In addition to its two ADAT inputs and outputs, the Pulse 16 can be upgraded to a Pulse 16 MX at a later date, if required, adding MADI optical ports (requires a MADI SFP module and unlock code, both sold separately).
All analogue levels are viewable at a glance via the front panel’s TFT displays, which also provide intuitive and user-friendly control of all features of the device. Remote control is available via MIDI and USB, with all features controllable from Ferrofish’s free RemoteFish Mac/PC software.
Many popular features from Ferrofish’s flagship 32‑channel A32pro Dante unit can also be found on the Pulse 16, such as preset management and front panel lock, whilst the onboard headphone output provides direct monitoring of any of the Pulse 16’s analogue and digital I/O channels: ideal for line-checking and trouble-shooting, or as an additional monitoring output.
With its low-latency Cirrus Logic converters, temperature-compensated clock and silent fanless design, the Pulse 16 guarantees crystal-clear sound across the board. And for this month’s exclusive SOS online competition, we’re giving you the chance to win one of your very own!
