Sorry, no, but thanks for the heads up.
I guess it's a Behringer? With the Klark name on it? You've also got to double that price, for stereo.

Probably. I have already two (a Teletronix and the 2A built into the LA-610) but the price of the KT is astonishing.

Re: Klark-Teknik KT-2A
It is supposed to be very good (from a couple of people I know who have them). I don't know quite how close it is to the real thing, but it's a good device in its own right.
I'm sure it will have been designed by KT people (rather than Behringer), but then made in the same Music Group factory in China as everything else. I feel that Behringer now believe in their products as a serious brand name, so wouldn't badge-engineer it for the sake of it. If it was designed by Behringer engineers, it would have the Behringer name on it.

Can't speak for the 2A, but I have the 1176 clone, and that's absolutely fine. Don't expect stellar build quality.

Re: Klark-Teknik KT-2A
Absolutely! It's the way to get a certain sound which I love, especially on vocals.
Still, I've been looking for a Pultec clone.. now if the same guys did one... :D

Re: Klark-Teknik KT-2A
I’ve got both the KT-2a and 76-KT and find them both to be surprisingly good compressors. I can’t say how close they sound to the original LA2a or 1176 but I’m very happy with mine. I actually use them for tracking and really like what they offer.
I’ve read people having good experiences with upgrading the tubes. Also, the Opto cell is socketed and it is perfect Silberman to swap this with the Kenetek T4b and this gets the compressor action even closer to the original a La2a?
