Alto’s new Uber FX is a compact and portable active two-way, eight-input, battery-powerable Bluetooth PA speaker that can be run from a rechargeable battery with a maximum 45-hour life. With an included microphone and cable, telescopic handle and built-in wheels, integral Alesis effects processing and two-band EQ, it’s aimed at musicians and organisers of small events that require portable amplification. There are two input channels which can be accessed via ‘combi’ XLR/quarter-inch jacks or Bluetooth (so playing out backing tracks from a phone is simple), and the built-in 100W amplifier drives an eight-inch woofer and three-inch tweeter. It should be available by the time you read this, and will retail for £214.99$249.95.
