German modular synth legends Doepfer have released five new polyphonic modules for their A100 modular system: a quad oscillator (A-111-4: around £350$500), quad SSI filter (A-105-4: around £180$250) and VCADSR envelope generator (A-141-4: around £140$200), and an octal VCA (A-132-8: also around £140$200). There's also a five-channel USB MIDI to CV/Gate converter (the A-190-5: around £280$350). The modules have been in development for some time — some were first seen at NAMM 2018 — but all are now shipping. According to founder Dieter Döpfer, the idea is “not just to recreate a standard polyphonic synth within the modular system, but rather to realise new polyphonic structures that go far beyond what a standard polyphonic synth can offer.”
