Focusrite have had a busy few weeks, announcing the purchase of ADAM Audio and releasing two free Audiority effects plug-ins for members of their Plug-in Collective community. These are the Deleight stereo multi-tap delay, and Distortion 1, which clearly models Boss’ classic late-’70s orange DS-1 pedal. See the link here if you’re interested, but act fairly swiftly, as the offer only lasts until September 5th.
As if that weren’t enough, the company began offering another brand-new plug-in emulation to owners of the company’s Clarett and Red interfaces at the end of the month. The cross-platform bx_console Focusrite, from hardware modelling specialists Brainworx, is designed to accurately emulate Focusrite’s ISA 110 Equaliser and ISA 130 Dynamics modules, key components of the impossibly rare mid-’80s Focusrite Studio Console, only a few of which were ever made. The plug-in is available separately for $349, but registered Clarett and Red owners can get it free.
