Muse Group have announced the release of major updates to both Muse Hub and Audacity. The former has been expanded into a fully fledged audio store, while the latter has gained some new mixing tools and has been treated to a visual overhaul.
Muse Hub
Muse Hub is a free desktop app aimed at audio creators that brings together a collection of applications, plug-ins and audio content made by both indie developers and larger brands. With the launch of the latest version, Muse Group have partnered with a number of top developers to expand the platform into an accessible, curated audio store. New additions include a selection of AI-powered music composition and podcasting tools and MIDI-to-vocal conversion, alongside an array of virtual instruments, effects and royalty-free samples from the likes of Spitfire Audio, Orchestral Tools and Vienna Symphonic Library.
Audacity
Muse Group's free recording and editing software has gained some significant features over the last few years, and seems to be well on its way to becoming a fully featured DAW. Version 3.6 introduces a dedicated master channel that allows effects to be applied across all tracks, and the software has gained updated compressor and limiter processors. New and improved light and dark visual themes have been added, and the software will now perform better when working with larger projects and using larger display screens.
Compatibility
Muse Hub and Audacity 3.6 are supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 12 or higher.
