CAD Audio have released a new condenser microphone called the CAD E100S, an update of the E100 model. The most notable feature of the S revision is its extremely low self noise of 3.7dBA, which is the result of proprietary CAD circuitry. The new model also has a compact 'stealth' shockmount which allows close miking of sources in limited studio space. The E100S comes with a 'vintage cherry' case, is engineered and built in the US, and carries a price-tag of around $599.
