The first three demonstrate the evolution of the three core sounds as described in the text; an arpeggiated lead, evolving pad and rhythmic bass. The final example provides a short cue demonstrating the three sounds in a musical context.
Cubase 12 Retrologue Retro Sci-Fi Audio Example 01
The arpeggiated lead sound. This audio example is divided into four sections as follows; (a) the Retrologue patch with just the oscillators active and the static filter settings; (b) the same sound but with the modulation settings applied; (c) the same sound with the FX section added; (d) the final sound with the arpeggiator active.

The evolving pad sound. This audio example is divided into three sections as follows; (a) the Retrologue patch with just the oscillators active and the static filter settings; (b) the same sound but with the FX section settings applied; (c) the final sound with the modulation section active.
Cubase 12 Retrologue Retro Sci-Fi Audio Example 03
The rhythmic bass sound. This audio example is divided into three sections as follows; (a) the Retrologue patch with just the oscillators active and the static filter settings; (b) the same sound but with the modulation section settings applied; (c) the final sound with the FX section active.
Cubase 12 Retrologue Retro Sci-Fi Audio Example 04
This audio example provides a short cue demonstrating the three sounds above in a musical con-text. The three core sounds dominate the cue. The only additional sounds added are some riser and impact/downer style sound design elements. These were all generated using further instances of Retrologue; no other sound sources were used within the cue.
