Artist-first AI platform Lemonaide have introduced Collab Club, a new feature that provides users with access to state-of-the-art AI models trained by top industry producers.
The Lemonaide application, which is available for Windows and macOS computers — provides users with the ability to quickly generate royalty-free chords and melodies. It’s free to download and try out, and once the trial is complete users can subscribe for $9.99 per month.
With the arrival of the new Collab Club feature, users can gain access to additional, professionally trained models that have been designed to generate style-specific melodies. Each model has been trained on hundreds of projects, and are said to capture the artists’ unique methods, chord progressions and stylistic nuances. The generated content remains royalty-free until it reaches 1,000,000 streams or gains a major placement — in either scenario it will then be subject to additional licensing terms.

Fairly Trained
There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the use of AI in the creative industries — with a particular concern around artists’ material being used without their consent. Lemonaide are a member of Fairly Trained, an organisation which has been set up to certify companies who use licensed data as training material for their AI models.
