Live from the SRT show

Saturday started slightly quieter than expected, but this was seemingly due to problems with the public transport links serving the Excel centre. By noon, however, the show floor was teeming with visitors keen to check out the latest gear and brush up on the hottest tips and tricks from the pros.
The UK's Music Producers Guild (MPG) took over the SOS seminar hall to hold their Loudness Wars event, which saw Tony Platt, Tony Cousins and Ray Staff discuss the subject of increasing loudness in mastering. Top producers Mike Cave and Haydn Bendall joined in later on for a more general discussion.
Elsewhere at the show, Yngwie Malmsteen, Chad Smith and Courtney Pine played in the various live arenas.
Tomorrow (Sunday), Joe Satriani will be taking to the stage, as well as the RD Crusaders and Jason Bonham. See you there!
