Sound design technology pioneers Magnetica Studio have announced the launch of NovoLabz, a new project that will see the company release a series of free plug-ins featuring technology that has been created during the development of their NovoNotes product range. Whilst the focus of NovoNotes is to produce sophisticated plug-ins that meet the high demands of professional users, NovoLabz aims to allow users of all levels to experience the latest technologies free of charge.
Technology from NovoNotes Ambience Enhancer has been used to create the NovoLabz 'Lite' version.Two plug-ins will be available at the launch of the NovoLabz project, Ambience Enhancer Lite and Spectrum Analyzer, and the developers say that they will continue to add new products to the line-up as they become available. Ambience Enhancer Lite is a processor that breaks down audio into ambient and direct sound, and is a simplified version of the more fully-featured Ambience Enhancer processor in the NovoNotes range. Spectrum Analyzer is a completely new analysis plug-in with support for multi-channel surround formats of up to 24 channels.
Magnetica Studio have stated that the plug-ins released as part of the NovoLabz project are essentially still in development, as so may be subject to future specification changes.
Magnetica Studio are also running a two-month sale to mark the start of the NovoLabz project. Throughout July and August 2022, their 3DX plug-in will be available with a 30% discount, whilst the HPL2 Processor will be reduced by 20%.
