SYSTEM DigiDestroy is the latest addition to HOFA’s SYSTEM range, a modular plug-in platform that has been designed to provide users with a flexible and powerful audio-processing environment. Aimed at engineers seeking vintage flair, experimental transitions and destructive sound effects, the new arrival combines a bit-crusher with a variable jitter control and includes a versatile clipper module.
The plug-in joins over 30 other effects that include EQs, reverbs, compressors and modulation processors, with the modular nature of the SYSTEM platform allowing users to create custom signal chains to achieve their desired effects. Drag-and-drop routing makes quick work of setting up and trying out new configurations, while parallel and serial processing options, multiband capabilities and Mid-Side processing make the series a powerful tool for all manner of mixing, mastering and sound-design tasks.

- Bit-crusher: Adjustable bit-depth and sample-rate reduction parameters allow users to generate digital artefacts that range from subtle retro vibes to intense digital distortion.

HOFA are also offering a freeware version of the plug-in that features a simplified set of controls. Opting for the free version delivers much of the same functionality, but without jitter adjustment and only one of the clipping modes (Hard).
Compatibility
SYSTEM DigiDestroy is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and later. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

SYSTEM DigiDestroy is available now, and is currently (11 August 2025) being offered at an introductory price of €30, reduced from its full cost of €40. The freeware version is, of course, free!
