Focusrite have announced that all generations of their USB audio interfaces now boast full compatibility with Windows for ARM systems. The functionality extends across the company’s entire product range, with native ARM64 drivers available to download now from their website.
Focusrite say that the move brings the professional-quality audio and rock-solid reliability that their users have come to expect to both ASIO and non-ASIO applications running on a new generation of Windows laptop and desktop PCs. The Focusrite Control and Focusrite Control 2 control software applications are also now fully supported on Windows on ARM systems, enabling remote control of select features.
"We're excited to be able to provide full driver support for our USB audio interfaces on the Windows on ARM platform. This allows our users to enjoy the great sound and reliability they've come to expect from their Focusrite interface alongside the performance and battery life of the latest generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered laptops. Going forward, we will be supporting Intel, AMD and ARM-based Windows [PC] systems, with future driver updates continuing to improve performance across all platforms." - Jack Cole, Product Manager for Drivers, Focusrite
