Focusrite are celebrating their 40th anniversary with the launch of the Scarlett 2i2 Anniversary Edition, a limited-edition version of their hugely popular desktop audio interface. The unit itself retains the same features as the standard version, but sports a stylish blue finish inspired by the company’s renowned ISA range, a colour first featured on the ISA 110 and 130 modules that Rupert Neve created for Sir George Martin.
In addition to the new colour scheme, the Anniversary Edition also features the company’s historic ‘ff’ logo on its top panel, while the underneath of its chassis is decorated with a design based on the schematics of the ISA 110 and Studio Console. Each unit will be supplied in a limited-edition black and gold giftbox. Along with the visual upgrades, the interface will also include three premium plug-ins (Sonnox Voca, Acustica Rust and Sotube Opto Compressor) in addition to the standard Scarlett software collection.

“It’s fitting that we should celebrate the 40th year of the Focusrite brand by adding a limited edition to the fourth-generation Scarlett range. In its usual livery, Scarlett acknowledges the original Red Range, which brought colour to the racks of monochrome outboard. This Anniversary Edition is blue, in celebration of our original house colour. Focusrite, in either guise, has always been about bringing colour to the music! Doing so for the past four decades has been an incredible journey, both for me and the company — one that I hope will continue for decades to come.” - Phil Dudderidge OBE, Chairman and Founder, Focusrite
