Developed alongside DJs and producers David Guetta and Nicky Romero, the latest plug-in to join Mastering The Mix’s software range aims to help users deliver professional-quality masters in just a few clicks.
Faster Master analyses the incoming signal and quickly delivers a choice of 10 presets that are tailored to the sound of the source material. Users can then audition the presets, choose which one best suits their track, and set about fine-tuning the results. Those looking for a little more input can open up the plug-in’s preset panel and check out a selection of genre-specific options, and it’s possible to import a reference track and use it to create custom profiles.
The plug-in brings together a range of processing modules, and it’s possible to make adjustments to the overall results thanks to a set of controls in the lower section of the GUI. You’ll find EQ, Transients, Compress, Stereo and Limit tabs, each of which reveal a graphical interface that makes it possible to fine-tune the underlying processes — adjusting EQ curves, auditioning different compression characters and so on. Importantly, the plug-in carries out automatic level matching in response to all adjustments, so there’s no risk of ears being tricked by volume increases.

Faster Master is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 or higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
