Pacific Northwest film school visits Edinburgh

Napier University hosts film scoring summer school
For the third year running, Edinburgh's Napier University will be hosting a two-week music-for-picture summer school in conjunction with the highly-acclaimed Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, which was founded by Emmy Award winner Hummie Mann.

The course, which teaches theory and methods for writing music for film and television, runs from the 21st of August until September the 1st (at the same time as the Edinburgh Festival), with all applications to be submitted by the 7th of August.

Pacific Northwest are offering bursaries to two qualified students, covering the costs of the course (normally £745 per student). Living costs are not covered and successful students will need to arrange their own accommodation.

For more information on the course, visit www.pnwfilmmusic.com/europe. To apply for a bursary, contact Graham Weir at Napier University by email at g.weir@napier.ac.uk.
