MyAudioFactory have announced the launch of the latest iteration of their real-time audio restoration plug-in, ProAudioDeclipper. Capable of working in real time, the tool is built around an innovative algorithm that reconstructs clipped audio data and is said to offer results that are often indistinguishable from an unclipped recording.
The plug-in boasts a simple, intuitive interface that is divided into two sections: Declipper Settings and Clip Level Detection Settings. The first is equipped with Input and Output Gain controls, along with variable Speed Vs Quality, Processors and Limiter Peak parameters, and a set of buttons that offer three look-ahead buffer settings (1024, 2048 or 4096 samples) as well as Remove Glitch and Limiter on/off buttons. The following section then offers an array of controls designed to influence how the processor detects and reacts to clipping, allowing users to fine-tune the underlying process.
