Toontrack release Drums of Destruction EZX

Virtual drum specialists mark the beginning of Metal Month with new pack

The latest expansion pack from Toontrack, Drums of Destruction, has some serious metal credentials, being produced by Grammy-winning engineer Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Megadeth, Korn, Gojira) together with Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler.

Both having close to two decades of groundbreaking work under their belts, the pair are acclaimed for having shaped the sound that has made Lamb of God a mainstay on the modern metal scene.

The Drums of Destruction EZX comes with two full kits, one of which is Chris’ personal Mapex set while the other is a Pearl Reference kit that was handpicked by Josh and used on several of his productions. In addition, it includes five snares, one extra kick as well as the drummer’s trademark abundance of cymbals.

If you want to crush bones quickly, there are 14 mix-ready presets, plus a further five custom ‘No bus FX’ presets designed for those wanting to roll their sleeves up and use multiple outputs. The new Drums of Destruction EZX also features a selection of Lamb of God songs in MIDI format, performed by Chris Adler.

Though this is a Toontrack EZX Expansion pack, it can also be can loaded into either Toontrack’s multi-award winning EZdrummer 2 or Superior Drummer 3 plug-in software.

It is available now for $79/f£51.95
