Wolff Audio have announced the launch of an all-analogue monitor mixing unit aimed at both pro and serious home studios. MeMore boasts an intuitive, one-knob-per-function layout that allows artists to fine-tune their own monitor mix without using screens or menus, and it’s possible to chain together multiple devices to build a larger system.
The unit is equipped with 12 input channels (eight mono and two stereo), and two independent headphone amplifiers each with two outputs. Every channel benefits from volume and pan controls, along with a tilt EQ, and separate output level controls are provided for each of the headphone amplifier channels. There’s also a built-in HearMe mic which can be used either as a talkback mic or to introduce some room sound into users’ monitor mixes, and a pair of rear-panel XLR connectors offer an input and output/thru connection for an external talkback mic.
Four rear-panel DB25 connectors handle all of the inputs as well as providing link outputs that can be used to daisy chain multiple units, and are mirrored on the bottom panel. The company also offer an adapter that allows users to convert the DB25 connectors to EtherCON. There are also XLR inputs for channels 9–12, and a pair of quarter-inch TRS sockets that feed channels 11/12, along with a quarter-inch TS connection that will accept a footswitch for talkback control.
Wolff Audio say that it’s possible to connect between 15 and 25 units without issues, and that the limiting factor is the impedance of the feed. According to their FAQ section, each MeMore unit loads about 40kΩ, so if your system is capable of driving a 1kΩ load, you could theoretically daisy chain up to 40 units.
