Direct Resolution launch new web site…

…and unveil new DARC Ultimate PC range

UK audio-PC builders Direct Resolution have launched a new web site and, along with it, a new top-spec range of music-making computers. The new web site has an on-line PC Configurator, which allows you to pick a basic system configuration, and then add components to it (RAM, extra hard drives and so on), as well as an audio interface, software, peripherals, and DSP cards from either Universal Audio or TC Electronic. Once you’ve customised your machine, Direct Resolution will then build it and ship it to you.DARC Ultimate PC

And if you opt for the most powerful PC on offer, you’ll encounter the new DARC Ultimate range. When fully maxed out with the fastest processor and maximum RAM, computers in this line-up boast two Intel X5680 six-core processors — which, because each core has Hyperthreading, means you’ll get a (disgusting, quite frankly) 24 threads in total, each running at 3.33gHz! RAM-wise, the top-drawer model has a similarly gluttonous 48GB of DDR3 memory, so you’ll be unlikely to run out of power in a hurry.

For more info on the new DARC Ultimate range of PCs, and to spec out your own gruesomely powerful computer, head over to the brand-new Direct Resolution web site, below.
