Alchemea announce free Pro Tools seminars

Discount courses on offer, and prizes to be won!

Music tech educators Alchemea have teamed up with Pro Tools course providers Academia to offer a free seminar and demonstration of Avid’s flagship DAW. The event will take place on Friday 4th March, at Alchemea’s Windsor Centre, on Windsor Street in London (N1 8QS). Doors will open at 10am, and attendees will be served coffee and given one-to-one demos of Pro Tools 9. At 11am, the seminars will commence. There are four of these in total, and they are titled ‘What’s New In Pro Tools 9’, ‘Music Production’ (which will cover the use of Elastic Audio and Beat Detective), ‘Mixing In Pro Tools’ (including a Euphonix demonstration), and ‘Working With MIDI Instruments’. There’s an hour-long lunch break at 1pm, and the day concludes with drinks at 4.30pm.

Reps from Universal Audio and Focusrite will also be on hand to show off their latest products, and there will also be a handful of competitions to enter. Avid will be giving away a copy of Pro Tools 9 (with the Complete Production Toolkit), Universal Audio will have a UAD2 Duo card up for grabs, and Focusrite will be offering their Midnight Plug-in Suite. Additionally, anyone who signs up on the day for an Alchemea course will be eligible to a 10-percent discount, and will also be entered into a competition to win a Pro Tools 101 and 110 course, worth £850.
