VSL have just released some free updates that add some existing features to a selection of libraries in their expansive Synchron collection. Synchron Woodwinds, Synchron Strings Pro and Synchron Duality Strings (Colors) have all gained some new capabilities, and the updates come alongside a new limited-time promotion across the company’s woodwind libraries.
Synchron Woodwinds
Synchron Woodwinds now includes newly recorded lyrical and virtuosic legato articulations for its Flute 2, Clarinet 2 and Bassoon 2 instruments. The new articulation offers a “slower, slightly more pronounced and beautifully natural” transition between notes in slow and medium tempos. There’s also a new virtuosic legato that has been specifically designed for fast phrases, and bonus patches will now be included with every new purchase of Synchron Woodwinds.
Synchron Strings Pro & Synchron Duality Strings (Colors)
The latest updates also brings VSL’s intuitive Flow View GUI layout to both Synchron Strings Pro and Synchron Duality Strings (Colors). The interface presents users with just the essential controls for each instrument, with the likes of articulation switching and musical expression are handled automatically behind the scenes in an effort to allow users to focus on their playing rather than getting lost in programming and adjusting parameters.
Availability
The updates are available now, and are free to existing users. The announcement comes alongside a new promotion, with discounts of up to 40% being applied to a range of VSL’s woodwind collections.
