Amphion have announced that their popular passive studio monitors have been treated to a new and updated design. The One18X and Two18X build on the success of their predecessors, and promise to offer significant improvements in clarity, resolution and transient response.
The latest versions of the designs both feature a new high-extension tweeter along with a newly engineered crossover, which the company say help to deliver a smooth, accurate sound that translates well to other playback systems. Along with the performance upgrades, the new designs also benefit from some subtle aesthetic changes. Both models now sport a deeper black colour which utilises an environmentally friendly, scratch-resistant paint that is more durable than the finish used on the previous versions.
