Arturia launch Rev LX-24 reverb plug-in

Arturia have today released Rev LX-24, a software recreation of the iconic Lexicon 244 Digital Reverb. Featuring eight classic algorithms alongside a range of modern features, the plug-in promises to provide an inspiring collection of versatile reverb sounds that will suit a wide range of modern productions.

The company say that Rev LX-24 perfectly emulates the algorithms featured in the original unit, providing users with Small Hall A, Small Hall B, Room A, Constant Plate, Vocal Plate, Large Hall B, Chamber and Perc Plate a settings that capture the sound of the classic hardware device, whilst the default GUI replicates its famous looks and provides access to all of the original parameters, including delay, bass offset, crossover point, damping, pre-delay time, distance and a mix control.

An interactive visualiser display offers an intuitive click-and-drag editing interface in place of the standard view’s emulated hardware layout, and some additional dynamic effects are provided in the form of ducking, gating and tremolo processors.

Three emulated converter choices are also provided, with the original 12- and 24-bit variants joined by a new Modern option that offers a cleaner sound with an extended high-frequency response.

Rev LX-24 comes complete with a preset library that contains 100 sounds tailored for a range of sources, including vocals, drums, synthesizers and guitars, as well as more abstract settings aimed at sound designers.

Compatibility

Rev LX-24 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. VST, VST3, AAX and AU versions are available, and the plug-in also features NKS support, allowing for advanced integration with Native Instruments’ range of hardware controllers.

Rev LX-24 is available now, and is being offered for an introductory price of €69 until 23 April 2023, reduced from its full price of €99.
