DPA Microphones have unveiled CORE+, a technology said to neutralise distortion across a microphone’s entire dynamic range. Developed for their miniature microphone range, this innovation builds on the manufacturer’s highly regarded CORE technology.
CORE+ is said to have the ability to deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free audio recorded at source. DPA say this eliminates one of the most persistent challenges in professional audio: distortion caused by loud vocals, amplified instruments or unpredictable sound environments.
For high SPL situations and multi-mic setups, such as in live theatre or film, CORE+ ensures that even at maximum output, sound remains clear and free from artifacts. Compared to its predecessor, the new CORE+ pushes distortion artifacts down to virtually unmeasurable levels, leaving only the system noise. This results in pristine, uncoloured audio that offers sound professionals maximum freedom and creative potential.
CORE+ boasts impressive distortion figures when compared to previous editions of DPA's microphone ranges.
CORE+ is set to be integrated into DPA’s extensive lineup of miniature microphones, lavaliers and headset mics, making it accessible for a wide range of applications.
