Hummify is a new platform created by Tom Addison, an independent developer who previously worked as a touring musician before securing a place as Hans Zimmer’s assistant and working as the composer’s personal technician for his renowned live shows.
Tom says that he set about creating a platform aimed specifically at audio teams after realising that many of the generic tools available made compromises either in terms of file security or industry-specific features. The resulting software offers an all-in-one solution for sharing audio files and any associated attachments and metadata, but unlike many comparable tools, ensures that the files’ storage location is kept private, with access only possible via the built-in media player. It features a collection of tools that make it possible for users to host files and gather feedback from clients, as well as offering handy features such as support for multiple file versions and built-in A/B comparisons.

- Secure Asset Access: Unlike other solutions, Hummify never publicly exposes the underlying file storage URL. Assets must be accessed inside the Hummify media player by an authenticated user (or via a Hummify share link).
- Waveforms Everywhere: The file browser displays mini waveforms for every asset, so that you can easily audition files without needing to open them up.
- Asset Attachments: With attachments, users and their collaborators can access an asset's related files at the click of a button. Attachments form part of an asset's metadata and can be anything: session files, scores, MIDI, music videos and so on.
- Rich Metadata: Useful metadata is automatically extracted from your uploaded files. This includes bitrate, sample rate, LUFS and true peak levels.
- File Versions: Drag files on top of one another to create version lists.

- Timestamped Feedback: Comment directly on the waveform. Click and drag on the waveform to create a comment region.
- Client-Friendly Sharing: Send share links with customisable permissions. Recipients don’t need a Hummify account to review your work.
