Iceberg Audio are a small independent developer based in Dublin who are focused on creating high-quality plug-ins with a minimalist design. Their latest release, Sub Cut, is a plug-in that aims to help users to remove unwanted low-frequency content from their instruments and mixes, but with more musical results than simply using a generic EQ.
Sub Cut allows users to target frequencies below 220Hz, and offers three different filter slope options. In addition to displaying the frequency of the cutoff, the GUI also displays the note that corresponds with that frequency, allowing users to match the settings to the key of their source material. The plug-in also features an Auto mode with three speed settings, which analyses the incoming audio signal and continually adjusts the position of the resulting cut to suit.
Compatibility
The plug-in is supported on PCs running Windows 10, and Macs running macOS 10.10 and above. It is available in VST3 and AU formats, and requires an internet connection for activation. A fully functional 14-day trial is available.
Pricing & Availability
Sub Cut is available now from the Iceberg Audio website, and is currently being offered for an introductory price of $35, reduced from a full price of $49.
