The latest arrival to IK Multimedia’s ever-expanding T-RackS 6 collection combines reverb with some comprehensive modulation and pitch-shifting capabilities, and aims to provide sound designers, producers and guitarists with “more than just another shimmer reverb”.
T-RackS 6 Prism Reverb includes four processing modules: Reverb, Mod, Pitch and Feedback. The first is dedicated to generating the initial reflections that define the sound of the reverb, and is kitted out with Size, Diffusion, Highpass and Lowpass parameters that can be used to craft everything from tight, focused spaces to vast ambient environments. The following Mod section then houses an LFO that can be used to add some movement to the reverb tail, and includes independent Depth, Rate and Random controls for the left and right channels.
Next up is the Pitch section, which features two pitch-shifter that span a ±2 octave range and boast ultra-precise tuning that reaches down to 1/100th of a semitone; each processor is equipped with its own Level, Shift and Pan controls. Finally, a Feedback module offers control over the intensity and overall tone of the reverb signal, along with a FB PITCH switch that toggles pitch-shifting in or out of the loop, and a FLIP button that switches the stereo channels on each pass in an effort to enhance spatial depth and help blend more complex effects.
Compatibility
T-RackS 6 Prism Reverb is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
