Krautrock: The Rebirth Of Germany
A quick heads up for fans of Krautrock: The BBC will be screening a documentary film Krautrock: The Rebirth Of Germany at 9:00pm on the 23rd October on BBC Four, and will later appear on the BBC iPlayer. The one hour documentary features Can, Tangerine Dream, Neu! and Kraftwerk, as well as more obscure acts like Faust and Cluster.
In addition to exploring the role of Krautrock in the post-war cultural rejuvenation of Germany, the programme also examines the effects of the genre's influence on subsequent generations of musicians, from Bowie's Berlin period onwards. Recommended viewing for Krautrock fans!
