Music Production for Women (MPW) are currently offering four scholarship places for female and non-binary individuals to take part in their year-long Master Your Music programme. Supported by Distrokid, ICMP and MPW themselves, the scholarships will provide the successful applicants with accept to weekly masterclasses in music production, mixing, sound design, marketing and a range of other crucial topics.
Masterclasses will be taught by experts in their field including Ramera Abraham, a UK-based MPG award-winning vocal producer who has worked with artists including Adele, Stormzy and Little Mix; and Lillian Frances, a US-based artist and producer who has shared a stage with artists such as Sylvan Esso and Shakey Graves. In addition to the masterclass access, students will also receive monthly group mentoring sessions designed to help them achieve their music goal for the year, as well as gaining access to a supportive and safe community and more.
Those who wish to participate in the one-year, remotely delivered programme will require access to a laptop and a pair of headphones. The places are designed to be awarded to those facing financial hardships that mean they would otherwise not be able to take part in the course.
“It has been incredible to see the transformative impact of this scholarship on the lives of previous recipients, including providing opportunities to artists with disabilities and to those facing financial hardships.” - Xylo Aria, Founder, MPW
Applications for the programme close at midnight (00:00 GMT) on 5 December. The application form can be found here.
